Menara Rehal: Dataran Al-Quran Kota Bahru, Kelantan.

Kelantan has gained a reputation as the Cradle of Malay Culture as people there have managed to preserve their age-old customs and traditions until now. People of Kelantan are also well-known with their warmth and friendliness towards visitors.

Kelantan is the most deeply conservative Malay states in Malaysia. Don’t get shocked when you notice that Kelantan’s highways have more signs with quotes from the Koran than the actual traffic instructions. At there, many signs were written in Jawi, the old Arabic script for Malay and even Chinese women tend to wear headscarves due to the long term cultural assimilation process.

People of Kelantan are using different dialect of Malay, which is famously incomprehensible by outsiders. As for second languages, some people can speak fluently in English, but do not expect everyone to be able to. Therefore, it is better to have some knowledge on standard Malay.

Kite flying is a popular traditional pastime in Terengganu, especially during harvest time. Apart from the performance and appearance, the sound it makes when flying is considered important as well.
There are various types of kites such as wau kuching (cat kite), wau merak (peacock kite), and wau bulan (moon kite). Each kite also comes with a different design and size. The mark of a good kite is one that rises quickly and remains flying, no matter what the whims of the wind may be.
The colourful kites are played in the open paddy fields and along the sandy beaches. These places are suitable for flying kites because there are no trees or tall structures around. In fact, the wind blows strongly in these places. Normally, the wau is played after the paddy harvesting seasons or when the fishermen cannot go to fishing due the conditions of the sea. The best time to play the wau is in August and September.

Putrajaya

Putrajaya, a planned city located just south of Kuala Lumpur, is the new federal administrative capital of Malaysia. Several Government offices have relocated there to gain relief from the overcrowding and congestion of Kuala Lumpur, which is Malaysia's largest city. However,Kuala Lumpur still serves as Malaysia's national and legislative capital for now. Putrajaya is a Federal Territory just like the city of Kuala Lumpur and the island of Labuan.

The city is named after the first Malaysian Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra. In Bahasa Melayu, the Sanskrit-derived words "Putra" means son while "Jaya" means excel or success.

The city has only been established recently and it is still undergoing massive development: its development was hampered by the 1997 Asian financial crisis.

The city is built on a scale completely disproportionate to its current population, with a number of bridges spanning an artificial lake,Putrajaya Lake.

Although Malaysia is multi-ethnic with Malay, Chinese, Indian, Eurasian groups, the architecture in Putrajaya is predominantly (some would say excessively) modern Arabic in style. There have been calls for more traditional or even modern Malay, Chinese, Indian and Western architectural elements in some sectors of the city to make it less like a modern Persian Gulf capital. Some people have suggested it might have its own "Chinatown" and "Little India" for added flavour.

To the west is Cyberjaya, a cybercity, also located within the Multimedia Super Corridor, which is situated between Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Chili crab is a famous seafood dish served in Malaysia and Singapore. There is a controversy over whether this dish was invented by Singaporeans or Malaysians. It is made with hard-shell crabs, and cooked in thick gravy with a tomato chili base. It is a favorite at seafood restaurants.

Nowadays, the dish has many incarnations: some are packed with fresh spices like galangalginger and turmeric, some are sweet-sour and rosy with tomato, others are ribboned with beaten egg, and still others carry the sting of chili oil. Chilli crabs are often served with a few slices of French bread or mantou (Chinese buns) to aid the eater in soaking up and eating the tomato chili sauce. Normal white bread may be used.

The Oracle of Apolo

Delphi is an archaeological site and a modern town in Greece on the south-western spur of Mount Parnassus in the valley of Phocis. Delphi was the site of the Delphic oracle, the most important oracle in the classical Greek world, when it was a major site for the worship of the god Apollo after he slew the Python, a deity who lived there and protected the navel of the Earth. His sacred precinct in Delphi was a panhellenic sanctuary, where every four years athletes from all over the Greek world competed in the Pythian Games, one of the four panhellenic (or stephanitic) games, precursors to the Modern Olympics.

Delphi was revered throughout the Greek world as the site of the omphalos stone, the centre of the earth and the universe. In the inner hestia("hearth") of the Temple of Apollo, an eternal flame burned. After the battle of Plataea, the Greek cities extinguished their fires and brought new fire from the hearth of Greece, at Delphi; in the foundation stories of several Greek colonies, the founding colonists were first dedicated at Delphi.

Delphi site is located in lower central Greece, on multiple plateau/terraces along the slope of Mount Parnassus, and includes the Sanctuary of Apollo, the site of the ancient Oracle. This semicircular spur is known as Phaedriades, and overlooks the Pleistos Valley. Southwest of Delphi, about 15 km (9.3 mi) away, is the harbor-city of Kirrha on the Corinthian Gulf.
