Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore
Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore
Our historic building dates back to the site of the first Civil War battle. To commemorate yet another kind of battle— the ongoing battle of the bands— a strapping 68-foot neon guitar now adorns one of our towering smokestacks.
The Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore is a great place to enjoy spectacular American cuisine and refreshing beverages while being surrounded by rock 'n roll ambiance, including the strapping 68-foot neon guitar that adorns one of the cafe's towering smokestacks. You'll know right away where to find us- that thing can be seen from six miles away! Great décor doesn't stop there - inside our cafe you'll see a 1960 teal Cadillac hovering over the custom-designed bar, which is shaped like a Les Paul complete with inlaid handle.

A montage of musical instruments is also incorporated into our stained glass wall. If it's classic Maryland seafood you want, don't go overboard! We've got you covered on that front, too. There's always a catch of the day at our Maryland cafe, plus lots of other choices for dedicated carnivores or happy herbivores galore.

Bangkok

The city of Bangkok is the capital, largest urban area and primary city of Thailand. Known in Thai as Krung Thep Mahanakhon or Krung Thep for short, it was a small trading post at the mouth of the Chao Phraya River during the Ayutthaya Kingdom. It came to the forefront of Siam when it was given the status as the capital city in 1768 after the burning of Ayutthaya. However, the current Rattanakosin Kingdom did not begin until 1782 when the capital was moved across the river after being sacked by the Burmese. The Rattanakosin capital is now more formally called "Phra Nakhon" pertaining to the ancient boundaries in the metropolis' core and the name Bangkok now incorporates the urban build-up since the 18th century which has its own public administration and governor.

Koh Hong (Room Island) is part of a group of islands one hour north of Krabi. Koh Hong has only one beach - Pelay Beach - but it is recognized for being extremely beautiful, boasting fine white sand, coral and lots of varieties of tropical fish. Pelay Beach is framed by limestone rock formations which give it an enclosed feel. Coupled with the fact that there are seldom many people there, Koh Hong very much offers a ‘desert island’ experience. Its name comes from an eroded group of caves in the middle of the island which harbours a large lake with a small passage to the sea. When the tide is high long tail boats are able to enter the ‘room’ and visitors can swim in around in crystal clear water with a depth of around one metre. Koh Hong is another collection point for the nests that provide the ingredients for bird’s nest soup.

A Matryoshka doll or a Russian nested doll (often incorrectly referred to as a Babushka doll - babushka means "grandmother" in Russian), is a set of dolls of decreasing sizes placed one inside the other. "Matryoshka" is a derivative of the Russian female first name "Matryona", which was a very popular name among peasants in old Russia. The name "Matryona" in turn is related to the Latin root "mater" and means "mother", so the name is closely connected with motherhood and in turn the doll has come to symbolize fertility.
